The Municipal Chief Executive
(MCE) for Savelugu Hon. ALHASSAN FUSEINI BAGAMAN has today demonstrated his unwavering commitment to education and agriculture by donating 600 dual desks and 10 water pumping machines to several communities across the municipality courtesy 2025 District Assembly Common Fund(DACF)
Speaking at the handing over ceremony, HON BAGAMAN urged the above-mentioned municipal directorate of the Ghana Education Service GES to put into judicious utilization of the desks made available to them. Hon MCE was quick to add that, it is in the ultimate interest and quest on the part President John Mahama led administration to make available requisite amenities that will reduce challenges faced in the sector of education hence, reliefing off certain burden from parents thereby promoting academic excellence.
Identifying farming as the dominant occupation among the good people of the municipaity, HON BAGAMAN, equally made available 10 water pumping machines to the following communities to enhance irrigation activities in the municipality These beneficiary communities include:
Nyoglo
Libga
Zaazi
Moglaa
Bihinaayili
Chahi Yepalsi
Dinga
Bunglung.
This generous intervention is aimed at improving the quality of education by providing adequate classroom furniture for our pupils while also supporting irrigation farming to enhance food production and livelihoods.
This initiative reflects the MCE’s dedication to community development and his continuous efforts to improve living standards across the municipality.
Receiving the dual desk on behalf of the municipal education directorate, Alhaji Mohammed Abdul Majeed, Municipal Director of GES, thanked the HON. MCE for the timely distribution of the desks assuring the municipality of effective and efficient usage of the desk.
